Family Fun!

Here are some pictures of our family just having fun!  Hope you enjoy!

Angel making a snow angel.  Kody's boot came off, so dad put him on the car to fix it.  Kody hiking the snow hill once his boot was back on.  Daddy stuck in the snow hill (the snow caved in on him!) with Emma helping.

For our vacation we went to a family reunion in Kentucky followed by a side trip to Arkansas to visit Auntie Lynda and Cousin Lynda.  Here are some of our favorite pictures from the trip!

Dinosaur World:  We visited dinosaur World in Cave City, Kentucky (where our hotel was during our Kentucky stay).  It was the kids' favorite stop on the whole trip!

First we went to the fossil exhibits.  The kids enjoyed seeing all the fossils and stuff up close.  Then they got to put their hands into these little holes to try to feel what dinosaur it was inside!  They were scared at first, but they got it done!

We had fun with the photo dinosaur!  Here is angel in the dinosaur...she screamed help and pretended that she was being eaten by the dinosaur so well that Emma was terrified and wouldn't go near it!  Then Kody got in the dinosaur.   He was so short that even standing on the step you couldn't see him, so Mama got inside with him to hold him up.  Mama put her head in the dinosaur to try to convince Emma to get in with her for a picture, but it was a no go and Dada snapped a picture anyway!

Then we checked out the Movie Cave (Boy does Kody love that Terradactyl on the roof!).  Then it was off to the fossil dig.  Each kid got to dig in the sand for small fossils and at the end, they got to choose three to bring home!  After that it was off to the Boneyard.  the kids got to learn about what dinosaur fossils really look like in the ground and how palentologists uncover the bones carefully.   Each one had a shovel and a paintbrush to gently clean off the bones.

The Dinosaur Walk started off with the smaller dinosaurs.  The kids couldn't believe how big even the little guys were!  Angel enjoyed reading the plaques to all of us.  Then it was a rush to see what the next dinosaur was!

A nice gentleman offered to take a family picture for us in front of the stegasaruses!

Then came the big dinosaurs!  Look at these long necks.  Even the babies were taller than all of us!  Then we turned a corner and there was a T-Rex staring out of the trees at us.  The kids were in awe!

Family Reunion:

Everyone enjoyed spending time chatting and sharing family information with each other!

These next pictures were all taken by Angel.  she tried very hard to get as many of the family members as she could.  It is going to take me some time to figure out who everyone is!

Arkansas:  Then it was off to Arkansas to spend some time with Auntie Lynda and Cousin Lyndsey!

We had a fantastic trip and enjoyed getting to visit with so much family.   Some of the family I haven't seen in at least ten years!  Lynda and Lyndsey we haven't gotten to see in almost five years!  They had never gotten to meet Kody and Emma!
