Delilah Updates

Mommy was a little nervous this morning, so to make herself feel better she put me in one of her favorite outfits.  It has been handed down from Angel to Emma and now to me, but she says she bought me a very special shirt to wear with it.

Mommy calls this my cowgirl outfit.  The shirt says "Cute and Adorable Cowgirl in Charge."  So if I am the cowgirl in charge, Where is my pony???  I want my pony!!!!!!!!!!  Now!!!!!!

So, we went to the hospital for the ultrasound and after a long day of waiting the doctor finally called with the results.  I am FINE!!  Nothing wrong with me.  I could have told him that!

It would have saved me from having this funky gel put on my tummy and back and having the tech run this crazy little device all over it.  She said she was taking pictures of my kidneys, bladder, and some veins in my stomach.  Yuck!  Who would want pictures of that?

Today I went for my first check up with my doctor.  He said that I am growing good!  I did gain my weight back...I now weigh 8 pounds 5 ounces and I grew a half inch! He did find something called an ear pit.  Apparently it can indicate kidney issues.  Since I still have a little Jaundice, he is sending me for an ultrasound on the 15th.   Hmmm wonder what that will be like?

Mommy put me in a special outfit to go home in  She seems to like the color yellow!  The nurses weighed me again and took pictures for some website.  They sure must think I'm cute!!!

They say I lost some weight!  I now weigh 7 pounds 6 ounces.  I'll have to see if I can fix that.

Coming home from the hospital sure was scary!  It sure is nice to be safe in Daddy's arms again!

Third day visitors!

Mom finally decided that it was safe to help my big sisters and big brother to hold me.  Nervous moments though!

THE BIG DAY!!!

Oh... it is too cold...put me back!  What mom won't let you...fine poke away at me.  Hey mom I wanna go back!!!  Oh...okay, keep talking maybe I will like it out here.

Mom's voice sure makes me sleepy.  What are you doing to me???  This paper is cold.  I weigh what?  8 pounds 1 ounce, that's it?  Oh come on...enough already!  Yeash.

I think I will take a little nap while they finish up.  Finally...mom!

My first visitors!  Here is my Nana and Papa.  Look...this must be my big sister, Angel (mom says she is the oldest).  This is my big brother, Kody...poor kid...the only boy!

Hmmm...this nosy one must be my big sister Emma.  That's right...crowd around and adore me!

Here I am!!!  My very first baby pictures!

Here I am!!!  Sucking my thumb already.  Here is my arm and then my foot...look at my cute little toes!

Here I am waving at the family!  Then here is my leg...boy do I have long legs!!!!  All the better to kick mom with!  And finally here I am again...aren't I just gorgeous!  Okay so it is hard to tell in these old style photos!

Here I am trying to suck my thumb.  My sweet little arm.  Now this picture makes me a little upset...not even born and they are showing pictures of my naked butt!  Yeash...darn ultrasound technician!  Oh well...I got them...look at my legs...they are crossed...I am not opening them and showing if I am a boy or a girl!

Oh man!!!  That darn ultrasound tech did it again!  She got me to open up and show that I am a girl.  Crud...no more leaving mom in the dark!!!  Oh well, I can still make her life miserable by kicking her in the ribs!!

So..want to know my name???  What...mom spoiled it by telling already up top????  Oh well...I can still tell you my full name. 

My name is Delilah Ann Qualset and I will be born about a week before my due date according to mom's doctor.  So expect me one week before the 16th of January, 2009.
