13 Oct 2008: Well, tomorrow is Curt's birthday!!!! Hard to believe that it is that time of year again...time to struggle with what to get him for his birthday. lol
Here is the latest school picture of Curt!

This doesn't really show the new improved Curt though!!! He is currently sporting a beard and will continue to keep the beard until either his football boys win a varsity game or until the season ends!!!
Photos coming soon!!! |
| Curt has been very busy this
year! He has changed jobs again!!! He is now the technology
coordinator for Elkhorn Valley Schools in Tilden, Nebraska. He
seems to be enjoying his job so far. He updates and repairs all
the computers, smart boards, and sometimes the printers at the
school. He is also in charge of purchasing the new electronic
equipment that the school needs to stay ahead of the game. One of
his favorite parts of working at the school is that he gets all the same
vacation time as the kids do. He has winter break, spring break,
summer vacation, all the holidays, and any snow days that the kids may
get! Although, this summer he will have an opportunity to also bid
on the cleaning and updating of the computers for the school. It
will not take up all of his time though! I am sure that we may be
able to sneak in a family vacation at some point.
Curt also was the assistant coach for the
Junior High Football team. He was offered the job as soon as he
accepted the position at the school (but he did know about it in
advance, so I am pretty sure he accepted the job to get to do the
coaching! lol). He really enjoyed getting to know all the boys
this year and the head coach. Their team was 2-2 at the end of the
year...the best record of all the football teams this year! Curt
enjoyed it so much that he is looking into taking some college courses
on coaching in the future so that if there is ever an opening in the
Senior High level that he can help there as well.
Curt also accepted a new calling at
church. He is a Primary teacher for the 8, 9, 10, and 11 year
olds. These kids can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, but he is
winning them over. I have to admit that there are more boys in
class than girls, so the football parables may play a part of his
popularity! lol
